Englishman David Horsey secured his third European Tour title in sensational fashion at the M2M Russian Open in Moscow.
After dominating the leaderboard for the opening three days, Horsey fell behind with a double bogey at the 12th hole in Sunday's final round. A birdie four at the 15th was then followed up by a dramatic chip-in eagle at the 17th hole, enough to force a playoff with Irishman Damien McGrane with both tied at -13 for the week. A par four at the first playoff hole earned David his first win of the 2014 season and third overall career title.
This victory moves Horsey, who works with putting coach Phil Kenyon, up to 50th in the 2014 Race to Dubai standings.
Congratulations to David, a notorious hard worker who greatly deserves this latest success.
